The Story of Texas Tree Huggers

Hello, We are Katy and Kevin Henderson! I, Katy am originally from New Hampshire and understandably so, have had a life long passion for trees. (I am where the “Tree Hugger” came from) Trees are just simply home to me. I have loved trees like a member of my family for my entire life. I have flipped flopped between beautiful New England and magical Texas my whole life. But I’m always dreaming of the trees. 

When I met Kevin I instantly knew we had a connection…and trees quickly became the center point of our relationship. Kevin, who was born and raised in San Antonio, (he’s where the “Texas” comes from) and has been in the business of trees for almost a decade now and he loves the trees just as much as I do. I quickly learned that he loves them so much that he has spent his life putting the time and energy into understanding them and educating himself on all things trees. 

We love trees so much that we build our travels around them. The bigger the better. Giant Redwoods of Northern California and Oregon, or the unbelievably massive Douglas firs of Washington. You name it. If there is a giant tree we haven’t seen…we will find it. 

So it was only logical that we go out on a limb and start Texas Tree Huggers. 

Our passion and advocacy is for the trees. Our business is about nurturing, maintaining and protecting your trees and their surrounding environments. Whether is be the protection of your home or the safety of your loved ones, we want to work with you to help create an environment that you can all continue to thrive in.
